Launched during the sixth edition of Art Cairo,
Qa’adat Fan is the first Arabic language podcast dedicated to contemporary art and its evolving discourse.
Born from the desire to bring artists & audiences closer, the podcast offers intimate, reflective conversations with Arab artists, curators, and thinkers exploring the personal stories, ideas & experiences that shape their work.
More than a media initiative, Qa’adat Fan is a long term cultural commitment by Art Cairo one that continues beyond the fair to foster dialogue, share knowledge & engage the region’s creative community throughout the year.​

Since 2024,
Art Cairo has partnered with Egypt’s Ministry of Culture to present significant works from national museum collections within the context of the fair.
This collaboration marks a rare  gesture, bringing modern Egyptian art out of key public museums into public view through Art Cairo.
By recontextualizing canonical works within a contemporary platform, the initiative strengthens dialogue between institutions &audiences, expands access to modern heritage reinforces
Art Cairo’s role as a site of cultural connection and curatorial exchange.

Art Cairo Residency

CAIRO AS CULTURAL EXPERIENCE

The Art Cairo Residency invites artists from across the MENA region to engage with Cairo as a site of inquiry, reflection, and dialogue. Designed as a context-responsive platform, the residency supports research-led practices that intersect with the city’s cultural, historical, and social dynamics.
Each residency culminates in a public presentation during Art Cairo, offering audiences a deeper, more nuanced encounter with contemporary thought from the region and reinforcing the fair’s role as a space for long-form engagement and cultural exchange.
